Quercus robur / Pedunculate oak
Robur Capital takes its name from the Quercus robur or pedunculate oak. The epithet robur means as much as robust. The pedunculate oak is therefore an imposing presence. Not for nothing is it the symbol of strength and fertility. Although it grows slowly, it provides very durable wood and can live for more than 400 years. Moreover, few trees have such deep roots as the pedunculate oak.
Like no other tree, the Quercus robur represents our investment philosophy and approach: sustainable value creation through partnerships with like-minded entrepreneurs and other investors. Those shared values are to the fund what the roots are to the tree. And a tree with strong roots can take a beating.
